The European Union could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unjustified” travel bans imposed by the United States on five European individuals involved in combating digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.
EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’
European leaders including Emmanuel Macron charged Washington of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted individuals that were at the heart of efforts to introduce laws regulating US-based technology firms.
